Our time in Thailand (for our English-speaking friends)
Hi everybody!
I'll just give you a short review of what we have been doing in Thailand so far. You can see most of the things on the pictures, but not all.
As you might know, we started off in Bangkok for a few days, adjusting to the heat, and then we went trekking in Chang Mai. It was a lot of walking, riding elephants and going down the stream on a bamboo raft, which was badly ruined after the ride. (We were in control, and we might have hit a lot of rocks in the water, and bamboo is not made for that!)
After Chang Mai, we went back to Bangkok and had a few days in the center of chaos. Then we had it with the stressfull big city life and we decided to travel south to the islands.
First island was Koh Samui, which was in fact what we had expected. It seemed like a place for people a little older than us, so we decided to stay for two days, and then moving on.
Next island was Koh Phangan, which was all the we had expected of the Thai islands. We stayed at a great place with a lot of great people, and we had a blast for a week, going to the beach, watching counterfeit movies on big screen, partying at night (in particular on my birthday, a lot of fun).
Leaving Koh Phangan, Koh Tao, the dive island, was our next and last destination i Thailand. We did our Open Water Dive course, and now we looking forward to go diving at the Great Barrier Reef and in Fiji.
In about 3 hours we leave for Malaysia to catch our flight to Sydney on 10 May.
